James Bruss is a writer, performance poet, journalist, amateur filmmaker, avid reader, lyricist, and singer. He also teaches Creative Writing and English to 10th grade students at MHSA. James earned his bachelor's degree in English with emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Teaching Certificate from Concordia University in Mequon, WI. Mr. Bruss is the coach of the MHSA Spiders Poetry Slam Team, who are the reigning MPS Poetry Slam League Champs. He is currently the lead singer and lyricist for a Milwaukee rock band. James is entering his fifth year as a teacher and his fifth year at MHSA.

Do I find entertainment?
Is it worthwhile?
