One Day to One Week Students are expected to write a research paper on a topic selected by the aerobic instructor. The student must submit one double spaced page (12 point Times font) for each day of class they miss. Students should use their aerobic class time to do research and the typing of their paper. There is a computer in the Dance Department that you will be allowed to work on. Make sure that you bring a disk or flash drive to save your work as you go along. You can only use one internet resource for your paper. All other resources must be gathered from books or health and fitness magazines. Be sure to check with me when researching your topic, I may have some resource material in my personal library that you may use. These materials may only be used during class time, and must be returned to me by you at the end of class. One Week to Five Weeks A student with an extended medical will be expected to complete the above assignment up to a maximum of 15pages. Please note that additional work will be assigned to help make-up for missed classes. Over Six Weeks Student will be dropped from aerobic dance for one mark period. However, situations due occur that may result in the student being unable to participate due to serious injury or illness. This policy will explain how a medical will be handled during the course of his class. Minor Problems - prevents a student from participating for one to five days A note from a parent or legal guardian must be presented to the instructor in order for the student not to participate in class. To prevent the occurrence of forged notes, we ask that a telephone where the parent or legal guardian can be reached be listed on he note. If a parent or legal guardian can not be contacted, If the student does not provide a written excuse, he/she will be asked to participate as much as they can, without causing further injury to themselves. Regular exercise is a great way to provide relief from the muscle tension of cramps.
