A.P. Physics, Physics 1, Physics Concepts. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from U.W.-Madison and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from U.W.-Milwaukee''''''''s Professional Theatre Training Program. He is licensed to teach Broad Field Science (WI DPI #601), Physics (WI DPI #625) and Theatre (WI DPI #325). He has been teaching at MHSA since 1993, first as a long-term substitute, and currently as a contracted teacher. His Socratic approach to teaching is aimed at drawing out knowledge from his students rather than providing knowledge to his students. Demonstrations abound and all pre-conceived assumptions (whether they belong to the students or the teacher!) are challenged.

    Email: janesrt@milwaukee.k12.wi.us | (414) 934-7071
Ralph Janes is an Award Winning Theatre Artist from London, England. He is currently in his second decade at MHSA, and now considers the USA his home (mostly). He holds a Primary Degree in Education and Theatre from the University of Leeds, Bretton Hall, and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from The University of California, San Diego. He has studied with John Hodgeson, Keith Johnston, John Hirsch, Charles Marovitz, Bonnie Morenca, Robert Israel, Bob Woodruff, Frantisek Deak and many other international theatre artists. Starting as a street performer in the Inner City of London, there is virtually no job in the Theatre that Ralph has not done at one time or another. His move to the USA was prompted by the opportunity to continue working with Kanopy Dance Theatre of Madison after a two-year collaboration in Edinburgh. He has worked mostly in England, Europe, the West Coat and the Mid-West regions of the United States. His focus is on Inter-Related Arts, Improvisational-based Performance and Politics. He has split his time between Directing and Designing Political-Social Theatre and Teaching at the University and High School Level. He now further divides his time with his supportive partner and wonderful child.
